Filing Begins Today For May Indiana Primary

Today is the day candidates can begin filing for the upcoming May 8th Primary Election in Indiana.

In Grant County, offices up for election this year include Sheriff, Prosecutor, Auditor. Circuit Judge, Superior Court 2 Judge, the County Clerk, Coroner and Assessor, plus District 3 County Commissioner and four seats on the Grant County Council.

There are single Town Council seats up for grabs in Fairmount and Matthews and two seats in Upland.  And there are four School Board seats up for election in Marion, Mississinewa, Oak Hill and Madison-Grant and three in the Eastbrook School District.

Plus there are Township Trustee offices and Township Advisory Boards up for election in all 13 Townships in Grant County this spring.  There are also several state and federal offices up for election.

Filing for the various offices begins today and runs through noon on February 9th.
