GM To Use Wind Farm To Power Manufacturing Facilities

A new wind farm in northwest Ohio will soon power General Motors manufacturing facilities in Ohio and Indiana.
The Northwest Ohio Wind Farm…located about 30 miles east of Fort Wayne…is a 100-megawatt wind development. Officials said in a news release Wednesday that the wind farm will “help power all of G-M’s Ohio and Indiana manufacturing facilities with clean, renewable energy.”
The development will move G-M closer to meeting the electrical needs of its global operations by using 100- percent renewable energy by 2050.
More details about the new wind farm are expected to be released at a news conference scheduled for Monday.
