The hottest race in today’s Grant County Primary is that of the Republican nomination for Prosecutor. Incumbent Jim Luttrull Junior and former Deputy Prosecutor Rodney Faulk are locked in a heated race..
Luttrull has served four terms as Prosecutor and says rumors that he is running only to win and then resign and turn the job over to Deputy Prosecutor Lisa Glancy are just not true. He says those rumors go back to Rodney Faulk.
Luttrull fired Faulk after Faulk announced he would run for his boss’s job.
Rodney Faulk says Luttrull isn’t trusted by much of Grant County and he wants to bring trust back to the Prosecutor’s office…
Election officials say the number of early voters this year is a direct response to the Prosecutor’s race. They say the number of those voting early is nearly double the usual numbers.
