Early Morning Shooting Claims Life Of Roger Randolph

Marion Police say an early morning shooting outside a local bar claimed the life of the brother of Marion native and N-B-A star Zach Randolph.
Police confirm that Roger Randolph was shot in the parking lot of Hop’s Blues Bar on South McClure Street at around 5 o’clock this morning and that he died at the scene.
Witnesses say they heard gunshots outside the bar at around 5 a-m and then found Randolph in between two parked cars.  Police say he died before an ambulance could arrive.
Roger Randolph was the younger brother of Zach Randolph…who was a standout basketball player at Marion High School and led the Giants to the State Championship in 2000.  He now plays for the N-B-A’s Sacramento Kings.
Investigators say they do not believe the shooting was a random act of violence and they are now looking for the killer.  They do not have a motive at this time.
Anyone with information should call Marion Police or Crime Stoppers at 662-TIPS.
