An Upland man is dead following a weekend search for him following a hit and run incident near Swayzee. The suspect was found dead later at the Howard County Fairgrounds in Greentown.
Police say 46-year old Dan Draper was involved in a hit and run incident near Swayzee on Saturday. He was later seen in the Converse area where he abandoned his pickup and fled on foot.
The “Chronicle-Tribune” reports Howard County authorities found Draper dead Saturday evening inside a barn at the Howard County Fairgrounds in Greentown. They believe he took his own life.
The incident remains under investigation now by police in Grant, Howard and Miami counties.
