Fatum Wins Howard Co. Democrat Council Caucus

A Kokomo woman last night won a Democrat Party caucus and will become a Howard County Council member in the fall.
In the May Primary, Leslie Fatum and longtime Council member Les Ellison tied following a recount that showed each candidate received 578 votes.  That led to the closed-door caucus last night that saw Fatum win out.
Republicans say they have no plans to slate a candidate to run in the race, so Fatum is likely to become the first woman in Howard County history to serve on the County Council.
