Howard Co. Health Dept. Seeks More Hep A Vaccine

The Howard County Health Department is asking the state for more hepatitis A vaccines after state officials confirmed the first death in Indiana related to an outbreak that has infected nearly four-thousand people in 10 states.
Local Health officials say less than five cases of hepatitis A have been reported in Howard County, and most of the outbreak is occurring in southern Indiana.
Howard County Health Department officials say they want to be proactive to ensure the outbreak doesn’t spread to Kokomo.
