Quilters Hall of Fame Weekend Begins Thursday

Marion takes center stage as the quilting capital of America this weekend during the Quilters Hall of Fame annual celebration.  Activities begin Thursday morning with lots of activities at many sites in Marion.
Quilters Hall of Fame President Deb Divine says the interest in quilting continues to grow, but there are more who can help in spreading the word about the Hall of Fame here in Marion.
An open house and tour of the old Marion railroad station on South Washington Street will take place Saturday afternoon.  The Quilters Hall of Fame is restoring the old train depot for a site to be used for lectures, displays and other needs.
The annual Quilters Hall of Fame induction banquet will take place Saturday night at the Meshingomesia Country Club.  Zenia Cord is the 2018 inductee.
