MCS Board To Interview Candidates For 2 Openings

Ten candidates will be interviewed tonight for two openings on the Marion School Board, and the two winners could be sworn in as early as Tuesday night.
The ten candidates are vying for two opening brought about by the recent resignations of Cathy Moritz and Greg Kitts.   Whoever is selected for the spots on the board will serve the remainder of their terms, which expire December 31st.  But they will be eligible to run for a full term in the upcoming November election.
Tonight’s interviews will be conducted during an open school board meeting at 7 o’clock at Marion High School in the board room.
