Organizers are working on plans to connect two recreational trails in north central Indiana.
The proposal would use existing roads and trails to connect the Panhandle Pathway that runs from Winamac to Logansport to the Nickel Plate Trail that links Rochester and Kokomo.
Organizers believe the connecting route from Logansport to near Peru will help draw more long-distance cyclists to the trails.
