Indy Airstrip Attack Returns To Marion Airport

This weekend, the Marion Municipal Airport won’t see a lot of the air traffic that it normally does on a weekend. But it will see a lot of high-powered traffic.
The Indy Airstrip Attack returns to the Marion Airport this weekend for the third straight year. It will feature high-powered autos that will hit speeds of more than 250-miles an hour in short-track drag racing.
From Jaguars to Ferrari’s and even off-the-street cars, the Indy Airstrip Attack will feature drag racing on the airport’s runways Saturday and Sunday. 2016’s inaugural event brought in more than 25-hundred spectators and nearly doubled last year.
Tickets for the event will be on sale at the gate.
