Indiana Courts Going Paperless

Indiana’s courts expect to be paperless by the end of next year.
90-percent of Indiana’s counties now use electronic filing, and 80-percent post case information online. Chief Justice Loretta Rush says the computerization project saves trees and tax dollars. It’s also enabled additional changes that benefit you if you have to go to court, like automatically texting reminders of court dates.
Rush says the last 10 or 20 counties have been waiting to go paperless until they install Indiana’s new uniform data-entry system.
