Friday will be a day to honor and help out veterans during the Veterans Stand Down at the Grant County Y-M-C-A from 9 a-m until 2 p-m.
The V-A Northern Indiana Health Care System is holding a series of Veterans Stand Downs, as a way to aid homeless veterans who have multiple needs.
Organizer Bob Kelly says there will be something for all veterans, regardless of their need.
Kelly says all veterans are welcome, but they will need an I-D and their discharge papers if possible at the Stand Down.
Fifth District Congresswoman Susan Brooks will be the keynote speaker at tomorrow’s event.
