Salin Bank…which has two locations in Grant County…has been sold to a Michigan City-based banking firm. Horizon Bancorp of Michigan City has agreed to purchase Salin bank for just over 135-million dollars in cash and stock.
Salin is the third-largest privately-owned banking company in Indiana. It has 20 locations in ten Indiana counties, including one on the Marion Bypass and one on Main Street in Gas City, as well as locations in Kokomo.
The deal by Horizon Bancorp to purchase Salin Bank is expected to be finalized early next year.
