The deadline looms for applying for the Grant County Recorder’s position and a seat on the Grant County Council.
Nomination forms are available at the Grant County Clerk’s office or online. The deadline to apply is Wednesday.
Republican Precinct Committeemen will hold a closed-door caucus this Saturday to choose a new Recorder to fill the unexpired term of Pam Harris, who was recently elected the new Grant County Clerk as of January first. They will also choose a replacement for current County Council President Jim McWhirt, who was elected County Auditor and will take office on the first of January.
