Kokomo Basketball Star Jimmy Rayl Dies

Kokomo basketball legend Jimmy Rayl died Sunday.  He was 77.
Jimmy Rayl led Kokomo High School to the State Championship game in 1959 and won the Trester Award, then was named “Mr. Basketball” that year.  He went on to star at Indiana University and later with the Indiana Pacers of the A-B-A.
Jimmy Rayl was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 1989.
