A cellphone video taken by a Marion High School student has gone viral, but for all the wrong reasons.
The video…which was released by a concerned parent…shows the inside of a classroom at Marion High School during a class period. A student is overheard using racial slurs, while another student is vaping…all while the teacher is in the classroom, but doing nothing.
A statement from Marion Community Schools says administrators are addressing the issue, but the school system cannot comment further on specific personnel matters, investigations, or individual student discipline.
At this time, requests for further comment from school administrators have been denied.
