Additional Tax Breaks Proposed For Indiana Veterans

Indiana lawmakers want to increase veteran benefits in the state with proposed tax exemptions.
State Representative Bob Cherry says the bill proposes a full income tax exemption for retired veteran pensions. The bill also proposes an increase for the property tax exemption cap for disabled vets.
Cherry says it’s the right thing to do.
Cherry says about 30-thousand Hoosier veterans and their surviving spouses would benefit from the bill if passed by the state Senate.
