The Indiana State Police are investigating a police action shooting today in east central Indiana which resulted in the death of 32 year old Michael R. Gulley of Greenfield.
As reported by state police, a man walking along I-70 in Henry County was approached by a sheriff’s deputy to see if he needed assistance. Gulley then allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the deputy. Shots were fired, Gulley was hit and he later died at Henry County Community Health Hospital in New Castle.
The name of the the deputy, who as unhurt in the incident, has not yet been released.
The Henry County Sheriff’s department has asked for Indiana State Police to investigate the matter.
