Marion Police are searching for 2 people suspected of breaking into a north side jewelry store.
Just after 5am Tuesday morning, officers responded to an alarm at Lowden Jewelers. The unknown suspects apparently used a piece of asphalt to shatter the front door glass and gain access to the building. An undisclosed amount of jewelry was reportedly taken from one of the store’s showcases.
A search of the premises revealed no suspects, but a video surveillance camera revealed 2 people wearing gloves, face masks and jackets with hoods. If you have any information about this incident, you are asked to call the Marion Police Department at 662-9981 or Crimestoppers at 662-TIPS (8477).
