Congressman Jim Banks toured the Marion VA Medical Center on Monday.
Banks, a member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee, noted some significant improvements at the facility, meaning its’ current one star rating should be much improved during the next rating period.
Banks went on to say that the Marion VA “has a long way to go” in getting construction work completed on new buildings on the campus. He also noted that, when it comes to keeping potential drug overdose issues in check, new safeguards and accountability standards are now in place.
Banks spoke last evening at the Grant County Republican Party’s Lincoln Day Dinner.
