Ball State University is getting a new indoor athletic practice facility. The Ball State Board of Trustees approved a $15 million deal for the new building, that will serve the football, softball, baseball, and soccer teams. The 84,000-square-foot facility will feature a field turf, retractable netting, batting cages, and storage space. About 90% of the anticipated total cost of the privately-financed building has been committed, according to the university. The facility will open in Summer 2021.
