Another step was taken yesterday by Grant County Commissioners to bring about a unified county emergency dispatch center.
At Monday’s meeting, commissioners told consultant Terry Burnsworth to begin creating plans for the center, which would be located in the downtown Salin Bank Building. The Grant County Council will meet May 15th to consider funding the design work, which Burnsworth says would cost between 60 and 65 thousand dollars.
Commissioners also set a May 29th date for a 2pm public hearing on the proposed smoking ordinance.
