Captain Jeremy Kelly is the new commander of the Indiana State Police Post in Peru.
Kelly, a Portland native and 17 year veteran of the ISP, was recently promoted from the rank of lieutenant to captain.
His assignment as commander is for all of Indiana State Police District 1, which also includes the Lowell and Lafayette districts.
