Federal judge to make decision on Indiana’s abortion law

A federal judge says she will decide if Indiana’s latest abortion law is constitutional before it takes effect at the end of the month.
Judge Sarah Evans Barker yesterday questioned lawyers for the state about how the law, which blocks certain types of abortions, would work.
She balked at some of the suggestions to avoid second trimester abortions, which claim the baby is dismembered in the process.
Barker is being asked to decide if the new law creates an undue burden on women who want an abortion in Indiana.
