Anderson woman charged with possession of meth

An Anderson woman was arrested on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine Wednesday night after troopers received a report that she was sleeping in the parking lot of a business.
Troopers Jared Fradenburgh and Trent Jones were sitting in their cars in a parking lot at Scatterfield Rd. and 53rd St. in Anderson when a passing motorist stopped and told them a woman was laying and possibly sleeping in the parking lot of a nearby business.
The troopers went to the parking lot, which was across the street from their location, and found a woman on the south end of the lot.
As they spoke to Brittany Brown, age 28 of Anderson, they found that she seemed disoriented. Further investigation by the two troopers found that Brown was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of theft out of Hendricks County, and that she was also in possession of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a syringe.
Trooper Fradenburgh transported Brown to Community Hospital to be checked out before taking her to the Madison County Jail where she was lodged on the Hendricks County warrant and level six felony charges of possession of methamphetamine and illegal possession of a hypodermic syringe.
