Madison-Grant announces facility upgrades, energy savings

At Madison-Grant’s Governing Board meeting this week they announced new upgrades to their facility.
The school district said they have upgraded some bathrooms, redone its athletic track and put new awnings on the building’s entrances, according to Vice President of the board Katti Sneed.
“It’s excellent,” Sneed said. “We’re so excited to see all the new improvements and I feel like we are being fiscally responsible, but yet putting money into making our property beautiful and functional.”
The school district’s recent investment in solar panels is paying dividends, too.
From last year to this year, the district has saved $115,051 on its electric bill and has earned $6,340 in energy credits from selling unused energy back on the market.
The next school board meeting is July, 8.
