Indy group reunites migrant children with families

A group in Indianapolis has begun taking in migrant Mexican children and reuniting them with their families.
Bethany Christian Services received approval from the Office of Refugee Resettlement in Oct. 2018.
The group took in its first child in March 2019.
Tamara Timm, who manages foster families for Bethany Christian Services, says the group simply wants to help kids at the border, regardless of political opinion. As of June, Bethany Christian Services has fostered 10 children.
The children have access to health care and legal services in Indianapolis, and attend a specialized school each day.
The group’s goal is to reunify children with their guardians within 3 months.
