Microsoft expanding internet in rural Indiana

An effort by Microsoft to expand rural broadband access in Indiana is moving forward.
The company is having Watch Communications, based out of Ohio, to begin the development process to connect communities in 50 Indiana counties to high-speed internet.
Microsoft says Watch will use funds awarded by the FCC to work with Indiana counties to develop a deployment approach for rural broadband services that best meet the needs of local communities.
Additionally, the company will use its network to design an Internet of Things network to serve Hoosier businesses.
