Gov. Holcomb goes big on campaign funding

Gov. Holcomb ended June with more than $6 million in the bank.
His campaign account, combined with the accounts of Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch and the Indiana Republican Party, ended June with $7.23 million cash-on-hand. This total is more than any previous combined total at this point in a gubernatorial election cycle, according to a press release.
This achievement includes the Indiana Republican Party’s reported $1.015 million cash-on-hand. Following Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch’s $1 million transfer of funds from her campaign account to Eric Holcomb for Indiana, Lt. Governor Crouch ended June with $185,000 cash on hand.
Lt. Governor Crouch’s $1 million transfer marks the first time in Indiana history a lieutenant governor has both raised and transferred a seven-figure sum.
“I think it’s safe to say Hoosiers are seeing a trend from Governor Eric Holcomb,” said Kyle Hupfer, treasurer of the Eric Holcomb for Indiana campaign. “After posting record fundraising numbers and earning a sky-high approval rating at the end of 2018, Governor Holcomb is at it again at the end of another fundraising period. Hoosiers have placed Governor Holcomb in an historic position because of his people-focused approach to leading our state and because of the unprecedented results that approach is delivering across the state.”
