Gibson County residents fear wind turbines will disrupt radar, forecasters disagree

Some of the people who don’t want to see a new wind farm in southern Indiana are worrying about the weather.
Sarah Newton told Gibson County Commissioners last night that she fears the wind farm will disrupt the local weather radar.
A German-based company wants to build 80 wind turbines across 15,000 acres in Gibson and Posey counties in southern Indiana.
Forecasters say wind turbines can impact weather radars, but say southern Indiana is well covered and safe.
