Two Indiana high school teachers named as semifinalists for national prize

Two high school teachers from Indiana are among 50 from across the country named as semifinalists for the 2019 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence.
Eric Fisher, an Industrial Technology teacher at Hamilton Heights, and Chad Sutton, a construction and manufacturing teacher at Garrett High School, now advance to the second round of competition, where they will be asked to respond to video learning modules about teaching practices.
Three first-place winners and 15 second-place winners will be announced Oct. 24. The winners will split $1 million in prizes.
