Miami Co. hog farm plans move forward concerning neighbors

Plans for a huge hog farm in Miami Co. are moving forward despite opposition from some of the farm’s future neighbors.
Two swine companies, Boss Hog Barns and Snowhill Ridge, plan to build one barn each on a piece of land about four miles from the Mississinewa Reservoir and Miami State Recreation Area.
The two barns would house 9,200 pigs.
The Kokomo Tribune says some residents are worried the hog farm will harm their health, their drinking water, and their property values.
