IDEM: dog killing blue-green algae found in Indiana

The blue-green algae, which has killed several dogs across the country, has been found in lakes in Indiana, said the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
They say the algae sometimes forms a mat on top of the water and if the mat has a blue-green or bright green coloring then it could be blue-green algae.
Tom Dock with Noah’s Animal Hospital says to get your dog to the vet right away if it comes in contact with the algae.
