Archdiocese of Indianapolis trying to get sexual discrimination lawsuit dismissed

The Archdiocese of Indianapolis is trying to get a lawsuit by a gay former Cathedral High School teacher dismissed.
The Archdiocese filed a motion yesterday arguing the suit is banned by the First Amendment, which prohibits a secular court from interfering in internal church matters.
Joshua Payne-Elliott sued in July after he was fired because of his same-sex marriage.
The church says same-sex marriage violates a morality clause.
