Study: nearly half of Americans would take a pay cut for better sleep

Just how sleep-deprived are Americans? Well, nearly half of us admitted we’d take a pay cut just to get a perfect night of shut-eye.
According to a new study taken on behalf of Slumber Cloud, 43% of the 2,000 respondents said they’d drop 10 percent of their earnings for one perfect night of sleep.
Researchers learned that the average American goes five days between good nights of sleep.
Many Americans only clocked in five hours and 43 minutes on the pillow, well below the 8 recommended hours.
