A new addition to Purdue University’s football stadium honors the legacy of a beloved student.
Saturday, Purdue unveiled a new gate at Ross-Ade Stadium to celebrate the legacy of student Tyler Trent.
Trent made a huge impact on the university and the community in the last few years as he was one of the team’s biggest cheerleaders.
Tyler passed away on Jan. 1 of this year from rare bone cancer, osteosarcoma.
Despite his illness, he made an effort to come to every game last season and route for the boys.
The dedication was revealed on what would have been Tyler’s 21st birthday.
