Third Howard Co. inmate of the year commits suicide

For the third time this year, an inmate at the Howard County Jail has committed suicide.
Jail officers on Monday found 30-year-old Kacey Roadruck in his cell with a bedsheet around his neck. He was unconscious and unresponsive, according to the Howard Co. Sheriff’s Office.
Roadruck was given CPR and taken to a Kokomo hospital. He was later transferred to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis, where he died Wednesday night.
He is the third Howard County inmate to die by suicide this year.
Two female inmates hanged themselves in March, prompting Sheriff Jerry Asher to ask for better mental health services at the jail, according to The Kokomo Perspective.
