A cigarette that was thrown away while still lit was the cause of an apartment fire Saturday afternoon in Cicero.
Firefighters said when they got the call and got to the apartment complex, two units were already on fire. Those two apartments were completely destroyed.
A tweet from the fire department said everyone made it out safe, but they are warning you to make sure your cigarettes are out before you toss them.
