Madison-Grant votes to reconfigure schools to cut costs

At last night’s Madison-Grant board of trustees meeting, the trustees voted 5-2 in favor of a reconfiguration plan, according to The Herald Bulletin.
The Bulletin reports the board plans to turn one of the schools into Pre-K to grades two or there, with another school serving grades three or four through six.
School officials believe the plan is a needed cost-saving measure because of declining enrollment.
The Bulletin adds the change is likely to occur next school year.
