Former BSU football player released from Chinese prison

A former Ball State University football player has returned home to Detroit, after spending three years in prison in China.
In 2016, Wendell Brown was teaching English and football in China when he got into a bar fight.
He was sentenced to four years in prison, but a Chinese court reduced it to three.
Brown said he was defending himself when he was attacked at a bar.
Brown was a linebacker at Ball State from 2004 through 2008.
