A Connecticut man is behind bars after he reportedly handed out razor blades to trick-or-treaters.
Waterbury resident Jason Racz, 37, has been charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and risk of injury to a child in connection with the incident.
Police began investigating Thursday night after a group of children found loose razor blades in their candy bags.
Waterbury Police Chief Fernando Spagnola says Racz made no attempt to embed the blades in candy; he apparently dropped them into children’s bags loose.
While the number of razor blades handed out by Racz is unclear, no injuries have been reported, Spagnola says.
