Marion High School presents ‘Into the Woods’

The Marion High School Speech and Drama Association, in collaboration with the MHS choral program, is bringing fairytales with a twist to the stage this fall, with the modern classic musical “Into the Woods”.
MHS students will bring favorite storybook characters to life on stage at the Walton Performing Arts Center in this enchanting musical, where everyone’s wish is granted but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them. One of Stephen Sondheim’s most popular works, “Into the Woods” is a musically sophisticated dark comedy, a walk through a magical world that feels timeless yet current, fantastical but relevant.
Showtimes are at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, and Saturday, Nov. 16. Tickets are general admission and are $10 for adults and $6 for staff, students and seniors.
“Into the Woods” is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.MTIShows.com.
