Saturday afternoon several cities around the state took part in the National Wreaths Across America day.
Wreaths were placed on veterans graves to remember their sacrifice and service for our country.
Fort Wayne Lindenwood Cemetery laid 500 wreaths, Evansville Oak Hill Cemetery also participated, among several other cemeteries around Indiana.
The wreaths will stay through February.
