FDA approves groundbreaking peanut allergy drug

The FDA has approved the first-ever drug used to treat peanut allergies.
On Friday, the agency gave its approval to Palforzia, a drug that can reduce the most severe allergic reactions.
While children will still have to avoid peanut products, the drug helps reduce the dangers of accidental exposure.
About 1 million children of the U.S. are affected by peanut allergies, and 1 out of 5 of them will retain that allergy into adulthood.
