Purdue freezes tuition for ninth straight year

Purdue University announced its ninth consecutive tuition freeze.
The steady tuition fees means that seven graduating classes will have earned degrees without seeing any tuition hike.
Purdue says 59% of students graduated in 2018-19 debt-free, compared to 43% nationally.
In 2019, Purdue received funding for Back a Boiler income agreement program.
The program assists students with an alternative to Federal Parent and private loans.
Total student loan debt in the US has climbed to $1.56 trillion, an average debt of $33,000 per student.
