Kokomo PD make arrests in separate kidnapping, torture case

While investigating this month’s homicide and kidnapping case, police in Kokomo have made arrests in a separate kidnapping and torture case.
On Feb. 3, LaShay Young-Beard was found shot to death in a backyard. When police searched inside the house, they found a man — alive — tied up in a bathtub. He told police he had been there for 11 days, and the suspects had come back every few days to pour hot water on him.
A few days later, the Kokomo Police Department made three arrests in the case.
Now, police say one of the suspects, Troy Wilson, is connected to other kidnapping cases from last year.
Investigators have found a video that shows Wilson and three other people kidnapping, beating and torturing two additional victims in the fall of 2019.
The victims told investigators there was a second incident in the winter of 2019, where a 22-year-old female was tortured and raped.
Wilson faces additional preliminary charges, including criminal confinement, aggravated battery and rape. Three additional people — Jamie Travis, Amanda Bogue, and Brittany Causey — have also been arrested and preliminarily charged with criminal confinement and battery.
