VA Marion is holding a series of drive-by parades for veterans

Marion Ind.-VA Northern Indiana Health Care System invites the community to participate in a drive-by visitation parade at the Marion campus to allow Veterans to connect with family members and for the community to show support.  They ask that you stay in your vehicle while maintaining 6 feet of space for social distancing and try not to make physical contact with your loved one to minimize potential exposure to our vulnerable Veteran population.
They ask that only one carload per Veteran come onto the campus for the parade.
The Parade for each nursing unit will occur on a different day as listed below:
Tuesday, July 21, 172-1B, Eagle’s Wing
Wednesday, July 22, 172-1C, Heroes’ Haven
Thursday, July 23, 172-1E, Eagle’s Landing
Friday, July 24, 172-2B, Fort Recovery

The parade for each nursing unit will begin at 2:30 p.m. and we would like parade participants to arrive at 2:20 p.m. Please enter through the main gate off 38th Street and go through COVID-19 screening questions. Turn right and follow parade signs towards the Chapel. You will stage/line up behind the houses next to the Chapel. A police cruiser will lead you along the parade route on Gray Road. You may exit the campus by turning right at Water street by the Police station and exit the campus via S. Lincoln Blvd.
