Tele-Health Clinic Opens At Mississinewa

A Tele-health clinic is now open for Mississinewa Schools, where the student never leaves the school and the doctor never leaves the office.
The “Tele-Health Clinic” is a video link to a doctor or nurse practitioner at Marion General Hospital.  The health care providers can diagnose primary care things like coughs and colds, the flu and other items and prescribe medications, which Mississinewa Assistant Superintendent Lezlie Winter says helps out all involved because the students don’t have to leave schools and their parents don’t have to miss work.
Besides taking care of physical needs, an additional service that’s provided through the Tele-health clinic is the ability for students to see counselors from Family Services if that service is needed.
