Kokomo Schools To Get Overhaul Due To Poor Marks

State officials have approved a plan to restructure Kokomo’s Pettit Park Elementary, Bon Air Elementary and Bon Air Middle schools due to continued poor academic marks.
Those schools recently received overall letter grades of “F” on the state’s Annual Performance Report.  Bon Air Elementary and Bon Air Middle School have received “F’s” for four years in a row, while Pettit Park dropped from C’s to F’s over four years.
The State School Board has ap[proved a “Transformation Zone,” that will allow the district flexibility with state rules.
